Ever get so confused as to how many pieces you have made for a block? I did. A lot. I would pin a scrap piece of paper to set of pieces, but in the process it would sometimes tear off or one of those pieces would become MIA.
I finally developed a chart that has changed my world of quilting small and large projects the same. The sample one below is similar to the one I am using for "On Ringo Lake" by Bonnie Hunter. On mine the unit requirement is broke down by twenty, and when I have that amount I color in a block. I go ahead and make ten more than required. In the column with the Clue Number write the require amount per piece. This has become an excellent tool, one I will be using for years to come!
