EMERGENCY!!! Call Google!

I was in the middle of pressing hundreds of pieces ready to sew into blocks. One last press with starch. What a better time to run out of my favorite, Best Press. Not! I didn't want to drive the 20 minutes into town, so I was on my own. I found DIY "recipes" and tested them. This is the formula I came up with:

In a coffee cup put 1 cup of water and 1/2 teaspoon of corn starch. Microwave approximately one minute. Mix well. Cool. Pour into a spray bottle along with 2 cups of room temperature water. If you want a stiff starch use up to 3/4 teaspoon of corn starch. (Don't use too much starch because you will make pressing gravy instead.)

If you want it scented add a drop of essential oil.
