2025 Quilt Block Mania (QBM) is full of themed photo, color inspired, traditional quilt blocks! I had so much fun designing this quilt based on photos from my phone. All the fabrics are from Charisma Horton's Live Boldly Collection by Timeless Treasures.

Ah, the holiday's are soon approaching. It is going to be different this year. I'm not sure what it will look like. Death changes things. One thing that will remain the same, is that I will cook Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for my immediate family. I have cooked the same meal for both days since I was 15. It was a labour of love.
That first year, at age 15, I went to my Granny's house and stayed with her during Thanksgiving vacation. It had been four short, but very long months, since my Grandpa had passed. I was her support person that week. It was the time first time I helped cook Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.

Granny was very methodic in her meal. She use to joke that it was the only meal she knew how to cook good so that's what we get Thanksgiving and Christmas! After dementia began to take her from us, I started cooking the dinner at her home by myself. I had been helping her for around twelve years, so I was ready. It was a labour of love.
We would eat at 11:00am, on the dot. It would be on the table ready to go at 10:55 (at the latest.) That year, I was running late. It was about three minutes after 11 before it was on the table. I was a stressed mess! I was melting, the kitchen was so warm. When I finally sat down at the table, my little brother had to be funny! He looked at me and said, "Your late." I can look back and laugh now, but at the time, I had to excuse myself go outside and cry! I love my brother, but that was the wrong time to joke! Cooking dinner for a family is truly a labour of love.

All of these years later, I still use the same recipes, the same schedule and now dinner is on time... at least five minutes before the planned time to eat! I truly love my family and I would do anything for them. They have my heart.
So, with all of that said, this month's block is the Woven Heart. It is a very simple block! This would be a great time to catch up on the blocks you have yet to make from this year. One short month from now, I will be sharing the finishing instructions and last block for the "Inspired" quilt. I was using my quilt last night, and it brought me happiness. Each block tells a different story - my story. I love it.

The links to all of the blocks are at the bottom of this page.

If you have already subscribed to my mailing list, you will be getting the pattern sent directly to you. If you would like this month's block and have not subscribed yet, you can here. I have to manually send out the emails, so if you don't get it right away, I promise you will!
