2025 April Quilt Block Mania

2025 Quilt Block Mania (QBM) is going to be full of themed photo, color inspired, traditional quilt blocks! I had so much fun designing this quilt based on photos from my phone. All the fabrics are from Charisma Horton's Live Boldly Collection by Timeless Treasures.

The April prompt was "Gardening." Until my move, I always had a garden and lots of fresh fruit and veggies to can and freeze! It's a lot of well, worth it work! Here are the photographs that inspired my color palette.

I choose to use the traditional quilt block "Corn and Beans." Although, I don't really grow either in my garden. This block has countless possibilities in the way to make it and what how to use it! After making it a couple times, I decided using half-square triangles is the easiest way to put the block together.

If you want to make the entire quilt, go ahead and add a 1 1/2" border using the Sable (Brown) fabric.
