Did your parents ever throw a quilt on the ground for a picnic? Typically, my mom would put out an old sheet for our picnics. I can remember a good many on one special (and pretty ugly) sheet!
This month's topic is "Picnic / BBQ." To me this block encompasses just that! Daddy's at the grill and Momma's getting things put out on the quilt for this memory making day. This block is super simple to make. Only two rectangles of fabric to sew together and a little bit of applique. I had it quilted in just a couple days because I used a simple cloud for the sky. After quilting around the quilt and girls, I felt like the bottom half was pretty secure.
I am sooo excited to share next months block because that leads up to the completion of my sunbonnet quilt.
