Hope Quilts: The Promise of Heaven

I hadn't intended on sharing this quilt because it is a part of a series coming out mid-2021. The quilts name is simple, "Pastor's Wife." I designed it with one special lady, Mrs. Kay Siler..my pastor's wife... in mind. Monday she met her Lord and Saviour. The promise of Heaven brings great a hope of comfort and peace for today and the tomorrows to come.

So in honour of Mrs. Kay, I will share with you what I know she would. I don't think it wouldn't be how hard or wonderful being a pastor's wife is, I believe she would share her personal testimony. Since I don't know her personal story of how she came to know Christ as Saviour, I will share how you can come to know Christ.

We all have sinned, meaning we have all done something wrong. The Bible says, "There is none righteous, no not one" in Romans 3:10. It also says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinner and come short of the glory of God."
There is always a consequence for wrongdoing. The Bible says that consequence is going to a place called Hell. We know this because the Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death" and also, "And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments." These verses are found in Romans 6:23 and Luke 16:23.
The good news is Jesus took the consequence upon himself for our sins. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus Christ died in torment as he hung on a cross at Calvary so we don't have to go to Hell.
Since Jesus paid the price for us, individually we have to accept His mercy and grace to go to Heaven. The Bible says, "For whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" in Romans 10:13. Today you can know for sure you are going to go to Heaven if you ask God to forgive your sin. All you must do is ask Him. I have wrote below the words I asked for Gods forgiveness. I know I am going to Heaven when I die.

Just Getting Started
